Tokinoka is a remarkable blend resulting from the White Oak distillery skillful combination. The distillery has been inspired with Scottish techniques, from brewing to pot still distillation and oak cask maturation, and uses extremely pure groundwaters.

The result is an extremely mellow and smooth whisky. Tokinoka shows a beautiful balance and spicy notes.

Tasting Notes:

Appearance: golden yellow.

Nose: light, dominated by grains, yellow fruits and honey after a while in the glass.

Palate: mellow attack, then grows stronger with an impressive spicy strenght. Quite well-balanced, with an amazing aromatic palette, from malted cereals to yellow fruits (peach), almonds and juicy Corinth grapes.

Finish: quite long, with a spicy and dry, tannic character, like a dessert wine.aroma of vanilla and fruity notes of pear.

Centenario 12 is a blend of different rums aged at least 12 years, aged in oak barrels in the tropical latitude of Costa Rica.

Tasting Notes : 

Appearance: amber

Nose: aromas of caramel, coffee and notes of orange that awaken the whole. Very light medicinal touches punctuate the whole.

Palate: sweet but far from syrupy. Caramel and vanilla dominate, with orange also making its presence felt. The chocolate completes its profile.

Finish: on caramel, chocolate, which becomes cocoa, and orange again and again. A light woody note also makes its appearance.

Een Colheita port rijpt minimaal 7 jaar en wordt gefilterd en is klaar om nu te drinken. Eenmaal geopend kunt u nog minimaal een maand van deze port genieten. Decanteren is niet nodig. U kunt direct uit de fles serveren met een temperatuur van 16º tot 18º.

Proefnotitie: 

Uiterlijk : Aantrekkelijke amberkleur. 

Neus: Elegante port met de geur van gedroogd fruit, geconfijte sinaasappel en kruidige touch. Romig en fluweelzacht van smaak met een stevige body. 

Smaak: Een zeer fraai ontwikkelde Colheita met een lange, onweerstaanbare afdronk.

Het huis: Deze producent behoort tot de meest gereputeerde in de Douro. Het huis werd in 1842 opgericht door de Nederlander Eduard Kebe. Vijf jaar later werd Franciscus, de eerste Van der Niepoort in het huis, zijn partner. Toen Kebe korte tijd later overleed, werd het portbedrijf volledig eigendom van Van der Niepoort. De laatste jaren is door Dirk van der Niepoort (1964) veel aandacht besteed aan de kwaliteit van alle door het huis gemaakte ports. In 1987 verwierf Niepoort Quinta de Nápoles en Quinta do Carril in Cima Corgo, een regio die van oudsher de beste ports produceert. De passie voor port en de nederige eerbied voor en de nieuwsgierigheid naar de Douro terroir heeft bij Niepoort Port de teamgeest gedefinieerd in de afgelopen twee decennia. Niepoort produceert de mooiste ports, van Vintage ports tot gedateerde Tawny's (Colheita), maar ook een reeks van oude Tawny ports en fraaie ports voor alle gelegenheden.
