Part of Hunter Laing's impressive Journey series. This is a blended malt of Islay whiskies and is packed full of smokey, maritime whisky as you would expect from Islay, which has been matured in bourbon hogsheads. 

Tasting Notes :

Nose: Plenty of peat smoke, ash and vanilla.

Palate: Earthy peat on the palate, sea salt and vanilla custard.

Finish: Salted chocolate and lemon citrus.

In traditional Voodoo culture, Zaka is the god of peasantry and agriculture, often portrayed as a simple, generous man close to people. Aged in oak barrels for 18 months, this pure juice rum is a beautiful tribute to the cane.

Tasting Notes: 

Nose: Quince notes, clementine, guava, maple syrup

Palate: Very rich with papaya and sandalwood, hints of Tonka bean and caramel sprinkled with nutmeg.

Finish: Notes of almond syrup and guava, bitter orange peels.

Œil : robe rose pâle 

Nez : un nez de fines senteurs d’agrumes et de groseille. 

Bouche : une vivacité bien dosée aux tonalités minérales. 

Le domaine: Nanou Barthélémy et son fils Sébastien Vincenti gèrent de main de maître le domaine de Fondrèche, situé à Mazan, en Vaucluse. Avec plus de 25 ha de vignes entourant le domaine et 8 ha, sur le terroir de Mormoiron, le domaine Fondrèche s'est taillé une solide réputation dans le paysage du Ventoux. Cette reconnaissance a été acquise par le travail et les efforts à la vigne. Orienté agriculture biologique, le domaine Fondrèche affiche sa volonté de produire un vin le plus naturel possible, véritable miroir d'un terroir remarquable.
